"Thank you Shelley, I'm always thinking back on this wonderful and powerful weekend in Farmers Place. Remember those moments make me stronger." —Jarmila
"The workshop was a truly beautiful experience and has made a huge impact on my own personal healing journey and also on my relationship with my horse. I have cried a river in my lifetime but those minutes I spent with that lovely brown and white horse shifted something in me that no therapist seems capable of. It was also knowing that I had the beautiful support of you and the others. But there was even more than that, a certain magic came from that moment. I can't even explain it. Thank you so much for your time, your teachings, your patience and most of all your love. I hope that you return to WA soon." —Anonymous
"After five weeks in residence under Shelley's continuous, dedicated instruction, my fears were transformed into confidence and fun. I always felt safe while being encouraged and challenged to take the next step within a sincere nurturing atmosphere. It was a dream come true. I left Sonoita having experienced a profound change and took with me many lasting memories and friendships. I am truly grateful to Shelley for her willingness to welcome me where I was and guide me far beyond where I had hoped to be in relationship with my horse." —Thank you so much, Ann Williams
"Thanks — well written and nice to know I was not alone in feeling anxious! Beautiful description of what it feels like to arrive somewhere new with your horse — the anticipation, fear of the unknown — swirling energies. I found you to be an excellent facilitator because you did a great job sensing when I needed feedback and when I needed to be left to just try and play. I was really grateful for that! My intention is to continue towards riding bitless and to see you in June!" —Barbara
"Before we met Shelley in person, she saw a photo of one of our guys riding our stallion, Juano, with a heavy bit. Shelley wrote to me and said, 'I can have that horse bitless and bridleless in 3 days!' We all said, 'No way!' We looked forward to meeting this woman! In 10 minutes she was riding him around with only the ring around his neck! We all took turns riding him. The guys were amazed. This is the change we can do, we can be the example of ‘less is more’ if we trust the horse he will give back eagerly!" —Deborah Legg
"Shelley, thank you so much for these pictures and videos. They reflect one of the most beautiful days with horses and humans I have ever had. A day that celebrates freedom, growth, unbridled joy and respect. I can't wait for tomorrow." —Much Love, Adriana
"I think you are great! You have a very kind, warm and positive energy and you have the ability to bring the best out of students and horses as a team no matter what level. You are always encouraging with great positive wording in the way you teach. I also like the fact that it's not always mainstream, but is always a confidence builder. Thanks for taking the time with us small people and horses. I'm looking forward to next time." —Pia
"I have taken a few clinics with Shelley and I guarantee you and your horse will have tons of fun, feel safe and supported the whole time, learn lots and fall in love with Shelley and her wonderful feel for your horse. We play lots of games and the horses really dig it." —Amy
"I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the workshop, and what an amazing experience it was. That day on the table Chai took me to such a painful place, but it was a place that needed attention and needed to be healed. There was a huge shift for me. I feel my power and my worth. I had a lesson today, and it even has helped my riding. Remarkable and amazing!!!" -Denise Brady
"Wow, I am so glad that I had two lessons, loved my time. I loved the theory that you taught, expanding my level of consciousness, and that of my horse. I said, 'I am trying to get into his mind,' and you said 'Get into your mind.' What an incredible shift." —Adelle
"It was such an amazing experience to travel with one another, with the horses and come to the discoveries like we did. Thank you for hearing me in my vulnerability. It was scary to share but so powerful to be heard and held like you so gently did for me. I am holding onto the lessons I learned and am taking it all in so I can steer my life in the direction I'm wanting to go in, which isn't always easy but I'm incredibly inspired to do so now!" —Tara
"Shelley, I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity to work with you and get to know your strength; both physical and emotional... You are a hero. Your devotion in understanding the human/ horse relationship makes people better people in the world. Your hard work lends a generous hand to more animals and people than anyone I've ever met. Your sensitivity is a celebration and a lesson to all. Thank you for being yourself and sharing it with us. Keep breathing and keep teaching; divinity." —Nancy
